Angels place Geovany Soto (left knee) on 15-day disabled list
Los Angeles Angels catcher Geovany Soto has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 17, with left knee inflammation.
Fortunately, this isn't the same knee that required surgery back in May. Unfortunately, Soto only managed two games of action before winding up back on the disabled list. Juan Graterol will replace him on the Angels' roster, splitting squatting duties with Jett Bandy.
Soto owns a .284/.333/.478 slash in 74 plate appearances this season, while his .347 wOBA is above his career-average.
