Robbie Ray fans 10 in stellar outing for Diamondbacks
Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Robbie Ray dazzled in Sunday's victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers, punching out seven over seven scoreless innings.
Despite the bullpen surrendering five scores in the final two innings, Ray was able to hold on to the victory with this gem of an outing. The southpaw let six batters reach base, allowing four hits and handing out two walks in the win. Next up is a road contest with the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday.
Ray owns a career-high 25.96 strikeout percentage, while his 3.77 SIERA is also a career-best. The 24-year-old lefty has recorded a 4.49 ERA and 1.51 WHIP across 104 1/3 innings of work, contributing to a 2.60 nERD that ranks 21st in baseball.
