Brandon McCarthy goes six shutout innings as Dodgers lose Saturday

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy struck out eight hitters in six scoreless innings but did not earn a decision for his fantastic performance versus the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday.

What It Means:

McCarthy didn't walk a batter and only allowed three hits while he was on the hill Saturday. He has now made three starts this season since recovering from Tommy John surgery, and he has been fantastic with a 2-0 record.

McCarty owns a 1.69 ERA and 0.75 WHIP with a 37.93 strikeout rate across 16 innings so far this season. While his first three starts have been awesome, we project some regression over the rest of the season, with a 3.54 ERA and a 26.6 strikeout rate.
