American League to hit Angels' Mike Trout second in All-Star Game
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will start in center field and hit second for the American League in Tuesday night's 2016 All-Star Game at Petco Park.
Here's the full American League starting lineup decided by manager Ned Yost: second baseman Jose Altuve, center fielder Mike Trout, third baseman Manny Machado, designated hitter David Ortiz, shortstop Xander Bogaerts, first baseman Eric Hosmer, right fielder Mookie Betts, catcher Salvador Perez and left fielder Jackie Bradley Jr.
Trout finishes the first half posting very Trout-like numbers. He's slashing .322/.425/.567 with 18 home runs, 15 steals and a .415 wOBA in 386 plate appearances. His 4.25 nERD is third-best overall. We project Trout to hit .293/.399/.535 with 14 jacks, eight steals and a .393 wOBA over the rest of the season.
