Mets' Yoenis Cespedes out again on Sunday
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (quad) remained out of New York's lineup Sunday against the Washington Nationals.
Cespedes has already been ruled out of the All Star Game, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. The Mets are hoping he will be ready to return by the start of the second half. Juan Lagares is back in centerfield and hitting sixth on Sunday.
Cespedes is having a monster season with a .402 wOBA, 21 home runs and 52 RBI's across 323 plate appearances. Our models project him to have a slight regression in the second half with a .374 wOBA, 13 homers and 39 RBI's remaining this season.
