White Sox' Carlos Rodon heads to disabled list
The Chicago White Sox placed starting pitcher Carlos Rodon on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left wrist.
The move is retroactive to July 6, and as of now it's unclear when he suffered the injury. He is expected to miss a couple of weeks, so he should be ready to make his return soon after the All Star Break. Tommy Kahnle was recalled from Triple-A to take over Rondon's spot in the rotation.
In 92 innings Rodon owns a 4.50 ERA and a 22.2 strikeout rate in 2016. Our models project him to continue to post similar numbers once he returns in the second half at a 4.75 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 75 2/3 remaining innings.
