Houston Astros third baseman Luis Valbuena turned a ninth-inning two-run deficit into a 10-9 Astros victory with a three-run walk-off homer against the Oakland Athletics on Friday.
Valbuena went 3-for-5 on the day, with four RBI's and two runs scored in a complete performance. He has been fantastic since taking over permanent third base duties, and he is up to an .842 OPS on the season.
Valbuena owns a .265/.364/.478 slash line with a .357 wOBA over 289 plate appearances. He has 12 home runs, 35 runs and 36 RBI's on the year, and our models project him to have a .340 wOBA, 11 homers and 32 RBI's left this season.
