Adam Warren holds Reds to one run in no-decision for Cubs
Chicago Cubs pitcher Adam Warren pitched well in Wednesday's no-decision against the Cincinnati Reds, yielding one run on three hits over five innings.
In what was Warren's first start of the season, he struck out six Reds without issuing a walk. He allowed a solo home run in the first-inning, but that was the only score he gave up on the day. Warren had pitched 25 2/3 innings of relief prior to Wednesday's start, recording a 4.56 ERA.
Warren now owns a 4.11 ERA and 18.60 strikeout percentage -- league average is 21.0 -- in 30 2/3 innings on the season. We project him to record a 4.17 ERA and a 16.4 strikeout percentage over the remaining course of the year.
