Cubs place David Ross on the concussion disabled list
The Chicago Cubs have placed catcher David Ross on the 7-day disabled list with a concussion after being hit in the mask by a foul ball on Tuesday.
Ross has been plagued by concussion issues throughout his career, and it wouldn't be a surprise if it took more than seven days for the 39-year-old to return from this one.
Ross ranks 209th in the majors with a -0.05 nERD, but he's putting together a decent season from the plate, with a .333 wOBA and .206 ISO in 135 plate appearances.
