Mike Trout receiving rare day off Tuesday for Angels
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Trout has not missed a game this season, but Shane Robinson gets the start in center field on Tuesday and will bat ninth against Tampa Bay. Trout is having his usual dominant season, batting .324 with 17 home runs, 54 RBI's and 13 steals. It hasn't helped the Angles much, as they own 33-50 record.
Trout's overall slash is .324/.426/.569 with a .418 wOBA -- which is third-best -- in 364 plate appearances this season. Our models project him to hit .293/.400/.536 with 16 taters, eight steals, and a .399 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
