Nick Tropeano recalled, starting for Angels on Monday
Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Tropeano was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake and will start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday.
What It Means:
Tropeano will be on the radar as a spot start in deeper mixed leagues now that he is fully recovered from his shoulder injury. If he can improve his control (career-high 11.48 walk percentage with the Angels this season), the 25-year-old right could provide nice value over the rest of the year.
Tropeano owns a 3.25 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 22.13 strikeout percentage through 55 1/3 innings this season. He is 3-2 through 10 starts.
