Washington Nationals outfielder Michael Taylor has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse.
Taylor hasn't done enough for the Nationals through the first half of the season, and Jonathan Papelbon will take his spot in a correlating move.
Taylor takes a .225/.266/.372 slash and .284 wOBA down to the minors with him. He's tallied six home runs, 12 RBI's and 10 steals in 203 plate appearances this season.
