Hanley Ramirez (side) sitting out as Red Sox take on Angels
Boston Red Sox first baseman/left fielder Hanley Ramirez (side) is not in the lineup Friday against the Los Angeles Angels.
He almost ended up playing on Friday, so he should return to action this weekend. Ramirez was forced out of the game on Wednesday after his side tightened up following a swing. Travis Shaw will take over at first, with Marco Hernandez on the hot corner.
Ramirez owns a .328 wOBA with eight jacks, 45 RBI's and five steals in 322 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to post a .317 wOBA with eight more homers and another seven steals over the remainder of the year.
