Corey Dickerson (thumb) back in Rays' lineup
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Corey Dickerson (thumb) is back in the starting lineup Thursday against the Detroit Tigers.
A sore thumb kept Dickerson out of the lineup for four games, but he returns Thursday to face right-hander Jordan Zimmermann. Dickerson has struggled on the year, but he has hit righties (.308 wOBA) significantly better than lefties (.206 wOBA). He'll bat sixth and man left field.
Dickerson is slashing just .209/.258/.450 with a .293 wOBA in 237 plate appearances this season. He does have 13 home runs, however. Our models project Dickerson to hit .259/.310/.455 with 10 taters and a .325 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
