Melky Cabrera (wrist) out of White Sox Wednesday lineup
Chicago White Sox outfielder Melky Cabrera (wrist) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins.
Cabrera has a sprained right wrist, which he rolled over on while fielding a ball two weeks ago. He has played in the interim, but is expected to miss at least three or four days in order to allow the injury to heal fully. In his place on Wednesday, Avisail Garcia is manning left field and will hit eighth.
Cabrera is currently slashing a strong .294/.344/.462 with a wOBA of .342, to go along with 8 home runs. Our algorithms believe he can nearly maintain this pace for the rest of the season, as we project him for a .329 wOBA with 7 more longballs.
