Padres battling Baltimore Tuesday sans Derek Norris
San Diego Padres catcher Derek Norris is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Christian Bethancourt will take squatting duties and bat sixth as Norris gets a breather for the opening set of an abbreviated two-game series against the Orioles. Ubaldo Jimenez is taking the mound for Baltimore on Tuesday.
Norris is slashing a pedestrian .210/.265/.388 while posting a .283 wOBA with 10 home runs and 26 RBI's over 245 plate appearances this season. Our models project him to post a .291 wOBA with eight jacks and 32 RBI's remaining this season.
