Seung Hwan Oh may get first shot as closer for Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Seung Hwan Oh didn't end up playing on Sunday, but was warming up in the bullpen in the eighth inning before the Cardinals scored two runs in the ninth inning against the Seattle Mariners.
Trevor Rosenthal was removed from the Cardinals' closer role after a miserable June, leaving the position wide open.
Oh ranks 108th in the Majors with a 1.79 nERD and is having a great rookie campaign, sporting a 2.15 SIERA, 34.9 percent strikeout rate and 5.5 percent walk rate through 38 innings.
