Detroit Tigers infieldre Miguel Cabrera is not in the lineup Saturday in the team's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Cabrera is being replaced at designated hitter by Kerry Carpenter versus Athletics starter Joe Boyle.
In 343 plate appearances this season, Cabrera has a .256 batting average with a .654 OPS, 3 home runs, 18 runs and 31 RBI.
