Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
His absence is just a routine day off. Todd Frazier will move to first base, while Tyler Saladino will play third base.
Abreu is off to a slow start by his standards, slashing .267/.326/.446 with 11 home runs and a .325 wOBA in 319 plate appearances this season. Our models project him to basically maintain this pace over the remaining course of the season, slashing .266/.317/.448 with 12 home runs and a .325 wOBA.
