Yankees' Jacoby Ellsbury getting a breather against the Twins

New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Minnesota Twins.

What It Means:

With southpaw Tommy Milone pitching for the Twins, Ellsbury is on the bench Friday and Aaron Hicks will replace him in center field. Catcher Brian McCann will also sit against Milone, with Austin Romine getting the nod behind the plate.

Ellsbury is slashing .278/.339/.406 with three home runs, 12 stolen bases, and a .324 wOBA in 264 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to hit .259/.318/.362 with four home runs, 15 steals, and a .303 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
