Starling Marte (foot) back in Pirates' lineup Friday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte (foot) is back in the starting lineup Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Marte left Tuesday's contest with a sore foot and hasn't started since then. He'll hit second and man left field on Friday. Pittsburgh is giving Josh Harrison the day off, and Sean Rodriguez will replace him at second base.
Marte has had an impressive season so far, slashing .328/.370/.494 with six home runs, 20 stolen bases and a .370 wOBA in 270 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .288/.326/.449 with nine taters, 16 steals and a .336 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
