Mark Reynolds solo shot unable to lift Rockies over Arizona
Colorado Rockies infielder Mark Reynolds went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Thursday's loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The second-inning dinger off Zack Greinke pushed Reynold's total to seven on the year, while he's also accounted for 28 RBI's. He continues to flourish at first base, as this was the 32-year-old's third moon shot in four games.
The veteran first baseman is slashing .290/.357/.455 through 249 plate appearances. That's a career-high batting average for Reynolds, who is a .233 career-hitter. Our models currently project him to hit .245/.326/.420 over the remainder of the season.
