Freddy Galvis leads Phillies to victory with big day at the plate

Philadelphia Phillies infielder Freddy Galvis homered, tripled and knocked in five runs as the Phillies topped the Minnesota Twins 7-3 on Thursday.

What It Means:

Galvis ended the day with five RBI's, two of which came off sacrifices, making him the first player since 1928 (Hack Wilson) to record two sacrifice hits and five RBI's in the same contest. The two sacrifices came in Galvis' first two plate appearances, before recording the three-run blast off Kevin Jepsen in the eighth.

Galvis owns a wOBA of .259 this season and is slashing .216/.248/.358 in 287 appearances at the plate. He has a total of seven home runs, 28 RBI's and four steals.
