Kansas City Royals infielder Michael Massey is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Dylan Cease and the Chicago White Sox.
Massey started in Sunday's series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays and went 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts. Nick Loftin will move to second base in place of Massey on Monday while Nick Pratto starts on first and bats ninth.
numberFire’s models project Loftin ($2,400) for 7.1 and Pratto ($2,300) for 7.4 FanDuel points on Monday. Cease rates in the top 75th percentile this season with a 26.6% strikeout rate, but he gives up a fair amount of hard hits (42.2%) and hands out plenty of walks (10.6%).
