Seattle's Adrian Sampson lifted with elbow discomfort

Seattle Mariners reliever Adrian Sampson exited his start Thursday against the Detroit Tigers due to right elbow discomfort.

What It Means:

This didn't look good. Sampson didn't actually throwing a pitch in the game, leaving the mound after two warmup pitches.

Sampson just made his MLB debut on Saturday. He's likely headed for an MRI. In 80 1/3 innings in Triple-A this year, he posted a 3.48 FIP.
