Dodgers to call up Nick Tepesch on Friday
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Nick Tepesch will be called up to start Friday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
Tepesch was previously with the Texas Rangers, but he signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on June 6. The 27-year-old could be a nice streaming option on Friday versus a crumbling Pirates club.
Tepesch has performed well at Triple-A Oklahoma City, twirling a strong 2.00 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 23.60 strikeout percentage over 18 innings (three starts). He won all three of his outings.
