Travis Shaw out of Red Sox' lineup Thursday
Boston Red Sox third baseman Travis Shaw (shin) is out of Boston's lineup Thursday versus the Chicago White Sox.
Shaw fouled a ball off his foot on Tuesday and had to be pulled from the game in the fourth inning on Wednesday with a shin contusion. He is currently considered day-to-day, and Marco Hernandez will take over at third base on Thursday. He will hit ninth against James Shields.
Shaw is having a solid season, slashing .275/.344/.453 with a .345 wOBA, seven homers and 37 RBI's over 285 plate appearances. Our models project him to post a .334 wOBA with 11 more homers and 38 more RBI's over the remaining games this year.
