Red Sox pull Travis Shaw because of shin contusion
Boston Red Sox third baseman Travis Shaw left Wednesday's game against the Chicago White Sox with a right shin contusion.
Shaw fouled a ball off his right foot on Tuesday, but he started on Wednesday before being forced from the game in the fourth inning. Deven Marrero will likely see some more playing time while Shaw is on the mend.
Shaw is having a solid season, slashing .275/.344/.453 with a .345 wOBA, seven homers and 37 RBI's over 285 plate appearances. Our models project him to post a .334 wOBA with 11 more homers and 38 more RBI's over the remaining games this year.
