Colby Lewis

Colby Lewis out at least two months for Texas

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Colby Lewis will miss at least two months with a strained right lat muscle.

What It Means:

Lewis was forced to leave Tuesday's game with a triceps injury, and he underwent an MRI on Wednesday that revealed the bad news. He has a Grade 2 strain in his right lat muscle, and he will be out for roughly two months.

Lewis owns a 3.21 ERA, and he has been getting pretty lucky this season. He's sporting just a 15.8 percent strikeout rate, and his .234 BABIP is a career-low mark. Lewis' 4.84 xFIP more accurately portrays how he's pitched.
