Christopher Morel leading off Wednesday for Cubs
Chicago Cubs infielder/outfielder Christopher Morel will start at designated hitter and bat leadoff in Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Alex Wood and the San Francisco Giants.
Morel is replacing lefty hitter Mike Tauchman in the lineup after he hit a three-run dinger off the bench in Tuesday's 11-8 win over the Giants.
numberFire’s models project Morel ($2,800) for 10.1 FanDuel points on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Cubs have the highest implied total on the board at 5.58 runs and the game total is a batter-friendly 10.5. Wood has a weak 17.7% strikeout rate and elevated 10.4% walk rate this season.
