Colby Lewis is doubtful for his next start for Rangers
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Colby Lewis is not expected to make his next scheduled start.
Lewis was forced to leave Tuesday's game with a triceps injury, and he underwent an MRI on his on Wednesday. The results of the MRI have not been made public, but a trip to the disabled list is probably still not out of the question.
Lewis owns a 3.21 ERA, and he has been getting pretty lucky this season. He's fanning just 5.6 hitters per nine innings, and his .234 BABIP is a career-low mark. Lewis' 4.84 xFIP more accurately portrays how he's pitched. Our models project him to post a 3.96 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 72 2/3 innings remaining this season.
