Washington Nationals shortstop C.J. Abrams is not starting in Tuesday's contest against the New York Mets.
Abrams will rest in Washington after Ildemaro Vargas was moved to shortstop and Carter Kieboom was positioned at third base.
Per Baseball Savant on 378 batted balls this season, Abrams has recorded a 6.6% barrel rate and a .246 expected average.
