New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto is not in the lineup Wednesday.
Matt Reynolds will start in left field and bat seventh versus Kansas City Royals' left-hander Danny Duffy. Conforto has become unplayable against southpaws, sporting a horrific .107 wOBA against lefties.
It's not just left-handers who are giving him trouble as Conforto is batting .154/.215/.316 since the beginning of May. There were even rumors of a possible demotion to the minors, but the Mets said that will not happen right now.
