The Pittsburgh Pirates did not list Andrew McCutchen in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Chicago Cubs.
McCutchen will take the afternoon off as Alfonso Rivas rejoins Pittsburgh's lineup at first base and bats eighth. Bryan Reynolds will take McCutchen's spot at designated hitter, and Connor Joe will move from first base to right field.
McCutchen has been great in Pittsburgh this year, batting .252 with 12 home runs, 51 runs, 39 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and a .768 OPS across 446 plate appearances.
