Reds' Raisel Iglesias is activated from disabled list
The Cincinnati Reds activated starting pitcher Raisel Iglesias from the 15-day disabled list.
Iglesias has been out for the last month with a shoulder injury, and the Reds are playing it safe by bringing him back as a reliever. There is a possibility that if he stays healthy he could emerge as the team's closer eventually.
A potential breakout candidate coming into 2016, Iglesias showed signs of looking the part, posting a 3.60 xFIP and a 23.6 strikeout percentage in 28 1/3 innings this season before getting hurt. Our models currently project him to record a 4.61 ERA and a 20.7 strikeout percentage for the rest of the season
