Chris Young (quad) returns to lineup for Red Sox
Boston Red Sox outfielder Chris Young (quad) is back in the starting lineup Friday against the Seattle Mariners.
Young missed Thursday's game with tightness in his right quad, but he's good to go for Friday. He's hitting seventh and playing in left field. The Red Sox are also giving catcher Sandy Leon his second straight over Christian Vazquez.
Young has been outstanding this season, posting a .388 wOBA with a .276 ISO in a part-time role (116 plate appearances). He's been especially cruel to southpaws, putting up an insane .512 wOBA against left-handed pitching. Our models project Young to hit .254/.325/.454 with eight home runs and a .335 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
