The Los Angeles Angels activated shortstop Andrelton Simmons from the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday.
Simmons is back in the Angels' lineup and batting ninth. This will be his first game back in uniform since May 10th after tearing a ligament in his thumb. He played well on his rehab assignment, so maybe he can turn that into a trend as he heads back to the Angels.
With an elite glove and suspect bat, Simmons was slashing .219/.246/.281 with one homer and eight RBI's over 114 at-bats before getting hurt. We project him to post a .268 wOBA with two jacks and three steals over the remainder of the campaign.
