New York Mets infielder Neil Walker (back) remains absent from the Mets' starting lineup on Wednesday night.
Walker hasn't played since departing Sunday's game early with lower back tightness. He may be looking at a stint on the disabled list if he's unable to return soon. Matt Reynolds is playing second and batting seventh in Walker's place.
Walker is slashing .271/.343/.478 with 13 home runs -- just three less than he hit all of last season -- and a .351 wOBA in 230 plate appearances this year. Our models currently project him to hit .260/.325/.428 with 13 home runs and a .323 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
