Texas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez gave up four runs on nine hits in a win against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday.
Perez got tons of run support, which erased his shaky outing. He only struck out one batter, but the young Rangers' starter is still having a solid season. He will get a chance to improve on his last outing on Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Perez owns a 3.38 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 85 1/3 innings pitched this season. Our models project him to have a 4.24 ERA through 95 2/3 innings pitched remaining this season.
