Troy Tulowitzki (quad) has no timetable for activation for Blue Jays

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons offered no update Sunday on the status of shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

What It Means:

This is likely due to there being nothing to update. Tulowitzki was added to the disabled list on May 28 with a strained right quadriceps muscle, and suffered a setback last week in an extended spring training game. He currently remains shut down and there is no clear timetable for his return to the Toronto's active roster. Ryan Goins and Darwin Barney will continue to fill in at shortstop for the Blue Jays.

Tulowitzki has struggled this season, slashing just .204/.289/.383 with eight home runs and a .292 wOBA in 190 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .249/.326/.427 with 10 home runs and a .327 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
