Mariners' Leonys Martin gets activated from disabled list
The Seattle Mariners have activated outfielder Leonys Martin from the 15-day disabled list.
Martin was out for only the minimum of 15 days, and he is expected to resume starting duties in the outfield. This should allow Nelson Cruz to play in the outfield less and serve primarily as the team's DH.
Through 171 plate appearances in 2016, Martin has a wOBA of .347 with nine dingers and 20 RBIs. Our models project him to produce a wOBA of .293 with six homers and 12 more stolen bases for the rest of the season.
