Travis d'Arnaud on Braves bench Friday
Atlanta Braves catcher Travis d'Arnaud is not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against right-hander Josiah Gray and the Washington Nationals.
Sean Murphy will replace d'Arnaud behind the dish and in the cleanup spot. d'Arnaud went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, 2 walks, and 4 runs scored in the Braves' win over the New York Mets on Thursday.
numberFire’s models project Murphy ($3,700) for 11.8 FanDuel points on Friday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Braves' implied total is second-highest of the day at 5.75 and the game total is 10.0. Gray has a career-best 3.09 ERA this season, but his 4.48 xERA is actually higher than last year (4.25) and he also has an uninspiring 5.11 SIERA. The 25-year-old is also on pace for career-worst strikeout (19.0%) and walk (11.4%) rates.
