Austin Nola absent Wednesday for Padres
San Diego Padres catcher Austin Nola is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander George Kirby and the Seattle Mariners.
Gary Sanchez will catch for Michael Wacha and hit cleanup while Nola moves back to the bench. Matt Carpenter will enter the lineup to be the designated hitter and bat sixth.
