Josh Palacios joining Pittsburgh bench Wednesday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Josh Palacios is not in the lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Hogan Harris and the Oakland Athletics.
Connor Joe will move to right field and bat third while the left-handed hitting Palacios sits versus the Athletics' southpaw. Carlos Santana will return to the lineup to play first base and bat cleanup.
Per numberFire's MLB Heat Map, the Pirates' implied total is a healthy 5.34 on Wednesday and the game total is 9.5. Through Harris' first 10 1/3 innings in the majors, he has yielded 8 runs on 7 hits with 10 strikeouts and 6 walks. The rookie lefty enters the series finale with a horrendous 50.0% hard-hit rate, but his 3.69 xERA is more encouraging than the 6.97 ERA in front of it. Joe has a $7,500 salary on the single-game slate and our models project him for 9.9 FanDuel points.
