Billy Hamilton getting the night off Thursday for Reds, Tyler Holt in center

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Billy Hamilton is out of the starting lineup Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

What It Means:

Hamilton is batting .329/.356/.443 with nine stolen bases over his last 20 games and playing his usual brand of fantastic defense in center field. He'll get a night of rest in the Reds' series finale Thursday against the Cardinals, with Tyler Holt taking over in center field.

Hamilton's hot streak has improved his overall slash this season to .269/.308/.394. He has two home runs, 16 stolen bases and a .305 wOBA in 174 plate appearances. Our models currently project him to hit .249/.300/.346 with three home runs, 24 steals and a .292 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
