Rays' Wander Franco sidelined with shoulder injury

Tampa Bay Rays infielder Wander Franco is dealing with a minor shoulder injury, according to manager Kevin Cash.

What It Means:

Franco’s left shoulder “is a little dinged up” after he injured it on a slide into home plate during Tuesday's game. The Rays are holding him out of Wednesday afternoon's series finale, but Cash said Franco should be available off the bench. Taylor Walls is covering shortstop for Tampa Bay on Wednesday and Randy Arozarena is hitting second.

Franco is averaging 13.0 FanDuel points per game this season while slashing .298/.362/.482 with 7 homers, 29 RBI, 20 steals, and 35 runs scored.
