White Sox' Zach Putnam (elbow) works one scoreless inning
Chicago White Sox pitcher Zach Putnam (elbow) threw a scoreless inning of relief on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals.
It wasn't a flawless return -- giving up two hits and not recording a strikeout in the inning -- but considering he just had a week off due to an elbow injury, it was a solid inning.
Putnam ranks 179th with a 1.30 nERD, and he's putting together a productive season, posting a 2.25 ERA and 2.97 SIERA.
