The New York Yankees did not list Anthony Volpe in their lineup for Monday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
What It Means:
Volpe will take the night off as Jake Bauers joins the lineup in left field and bats sixth against the Mariners. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will cover for Volpe at shortstop.
The rookie is batting just .198 on the season, but he also has 7 home runs, 22 runs, 21 RBI, and 13 steals across his 215 plate appearances.
