White Sox have Zach Putnam (elbow) available on Wednesday
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Zach Putnam (elbow) will be available to pitch against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday, manager Robin Ventura said.
Putnam was unavailable for Tuesday's game, but in a pleasant turn of events, it appears that the White Sox do not view his elbow soreness as something that could cause long-term complications.
He has been on his game over 23 innings in 2016, pitching to a 2.35 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 27.17 percent strikeout rate across 23 innings. Putnam last pitched on June 1.
