The Kansas City Royals did not list Nicky Lopez in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals.
Lopez will sit out Sunday's game while Edward Olivares starts in left field and bats eighth against the Nationals.
Lopez has a .689 OPS through his first 75 plate appearances this season.
